Each month we'll meet on the first Wednesday for a virtual play group. We'll start by introducing ourselves, then discuss the topic of the month, play a little game or participate in an activity, and end with an open chat. Suggested for ages 8-14. Chat will be moderated by ASM
Please review these rules with your kids before joining:
- Keep yourself muted except when called on or during open chat
- Brief Introductions can be done in the chat or on video. If someone doesn’t want to speak or type an intro they can write ‘pass’ in the chat.
- Parents are welcome to support their child as needed
- Participants can come and go as needed
- After topic is brought up, kids are asked to raise their hands and wait on their turns.
- Children wanting to participate through the chat feature can type any time and the moderator will read it.
- Game or activity participation is optional. If kids need to bring something I’ll let you know before meeting (costume, art supplies, show and tell item, etc.)
- During open chat the moderator will decide if everyone can unmute or if we will still raise hands and wait to be called on.
- To connect outside of group, have a parent or guardian send a direct chat to the person you are interested in hanging out with to see if they want to connect outside the group too.
- No profanity and kids are expected to be polite and considerate of others.
- Kids will get a chance to take turns leading a meeting and pick the activity/game.
