The Family Retreat is a fun-filled weekend for the whole family! Many activities are planned for children with Autism and their siblings, for Autistic adults, and for parents.
A place where you don't have to explain why their child doesn't talk, can't wait in line, or has temper-tantrums. No one stares at you or wonders what's wrong with your child. Our weekend is a place where families come together to laugh and cry. Each year the retreat has a theme. Past year's themes have been, pirates, cowboys, down on the farm and animals. This year's theme is "Mardi Gras!"
Children will rotate in groups between: Swimming, crafts, outdoor play, indoor rock climbing and much more! Our nursery is for children under 5 years old and includes fun activities developed for this age group.

ASM Family Retreat Weekend 2023
We are happy to share photos of our recent ASM Family Retreat Weekend!
These photos speak for themselves – filled with happy faces, activities, and so much fun! We did it ALL! from rock wall climbing, swimming, crafts, huge bouncy house, to up and close inspection of a real race car that prompted many questions for driver Max Cookson, see the kids signing their name to the car! To top it off, an incredible puppet show performance by the Frogtown Puppeteers! Parents were in on some fun too with a painting class, canoe/paddleboarding, family time and networking & learning opportunities. All made possible by our incredible and caring respite providers that are simply the best. Thank you all for a wonderful weekend! More pictures will be added here to the online gallery.
